![]() ![]() At one point you will want to connect to the exit highway lane, and this is one rare occasion you will not get it perfectly, because the initial highway lanes are not placed perfectly by the devs. If you build a road that starts from the incoming highway, then link the next road to your previous, and so on, then (almost) your entire city will be based on the initial (hidden) grid of the incoming highway lane. I like symmetry also, and the way I do it is to always start a city by connecting to the highway lane that enters the city. But as soon as you place it down, any other road you build starting from the one you've just made, will snap to it and it's grid, and will create a nice symmetry. Even with the snap tool enabled, if you place a random road in the middle of a map, it will not snap to anything. Instead, every road you place creates a separate grid around it. This game doesn't really have a grid that covers the entire map. ![]()
